This sounds straightforward until you’re dealing with an older London property where no wall runs truly straight and the floor has more movement than you’d like. We’ve seen it all — it’s manageable when you know what you’re doing.
Appliance Installation
Oven, hob, extractor, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine — whatever you’ve ordered, we install it. Integrated or freestanding. We make sure everything is seated correctly, connected properly, and actually works before we leave.
Plumbing — Water Connections
Sink, dishwasher, washing machine connections all handled by our team. Hot and cold supply, waste pipes, everything up to standard. We don’t subcontract this out — it’s done by the same team doing your kitchen.
Gas Connections
If your hob is gas, this needs to be done properly. We work with Gas Safe registered engineers for all gas connections — every job is done to the required standard and signed off correctly. Worth being careful here; it’s not something to cut corners on.
Tiling & Finishing
Splashback tiles, floor tiles if needed, and all the finishing details — silicone, filler, trims — that make the difference between a kitchen that looks fitted and one that looks installed. The last 5% of a kitchen fit is what you actually see every day. We don’t skip it.
Electrical Work
Socket relocation, under-cabinet lighting, integrated appliance wiring — all handled and signed off to Part P requirements where applicable.
Why Use a Specialist Installer — Not Just Any Fitter
Wren sells you the kitchen. They don’t fit it. And the installation experience — coordinating trades, dealing with unexpected problems, managing the sequence correctly — is honestly where most kitchen projects go wrong.
The thing is, fitting a kitchen isn’t just assembling flat-pack in a bigger room. The order matters. The preparatory work matters. If you tile before the units go in, you’ll often end up with gaps or cut tiles where they shouldn’t be. If the plumbing rough-in isn’t right, you’ll be pulling units out later. If the worktop is measured before the units are properly levelled, it won’t sit flat.
Quite often customers call us when they want to fix installations that went wrong. It happens more often than you’d think. Usually when someone decided to use a general handyman from services like Bark or RatedPeople, rather than someone who actually knows how a fitting of Wren kitchen should be sequenced.

Once you’ve ordered from Wren, send us your order summary including designs. We’ll review it and come back with a quote for the full installation — no vague estimates, an actual number. - Pre-installation survey
We might visit your home before delivery to assess the space: walls, floor levels, existing plumbing and gas positions, electrics. This is where we flag anything that might need addressing before the units arrive — better to know early. And at this stage we can also discuss all additional requirements. Sometimes we can avoid the visit and discuss everything remotely in Zoom or via Whatsapp. - Delivery day coordination
We’ll work around Wren’s delivery. Once the units are in, we will be waiting for your confirmation that everything has arrived correctly and is undamaged before we start. - Installation
Typically 3–7 days depending on the size of the kitchen and scope of work. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at survey stage — not an optimistic one. - Snagging & sign-off
Before we leave, we go through the whole kitchen with you. Doors adjusted, appliances tested, everything checked. If something isn’t right, we fix it before we pack up.

Do you only install Wren kitchens?
Not only Wren — we also install IKEA, Howdens, Magnet, B&Q and other brands. But if you’ve bought Wren kitchen, be ensure we know the product really well and can give you a clear quote quickly.
How much does Wren kitchen installation cost in London?
We can only confirm the final Quote once we have more detailed information from you. The price depends on the size of the kitchen, scope of work, and how much preparation is needed. It also depends on extra services your might required: worktop cutting, tiling, flooring installation, removal of old kitchen etc. Ballpark: a standard 10–15 unit kitchen with full installation including plumbing, appliances ranges from £3,500 to £7,000. We’ll give you a proper quote once we’ve seen your order and visited the site or check the picture of current condition of site.
Do you handle the old kitchen removal?
Yes, this is something we can definitely help you with. We remove and dispose of the old units, worktop, and any tiles we’re replacing. You don’t need to arrange a skip separately. We can provide a Quote based on the pictures of the existing kitchen or during the visit.
Are you Gas Safe registered?
All gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. We don’t cut corners on this — every gas connection is correctly certified.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Usually 2–6 weeks. If you have a Wren delivery date confirmed, contact us as soon as possible so we can schedule around it.
What if something is damaged in the Wren delivery?
We will check everything on site before we start installation. If units are damaged or parts are missing, we will let you know and will help you raise it with Wren before installation begins — it’s much easier to deal with before units are on the walls.
Do you install Wren J-Pull and handleless kitchens?
Yes, and they make up a large proportion of what we fit in London. Handleless kitchens require more precise door alignment than handled ranges — the channel has to be consistent across every door. We allow extra time for hinge adjustment on handleless fits and check alignment under different lighting conditions before sign-off.
Do I need to share Wren’s installation plan with you?
It helps, but it’s not required. If you have Wren’s layout plan, bring it to the survey — it speeds up the quoting process and flags anything unusual in the spec early. If you don’t have it, we measure up from the room and the delivery note and work from there.
Can you supply and fit the worktops as well?
Yes. For Wren laminate worktops we cut and fit them directly on site. For stone, quartz, or solid wood, we coordinate templating and fabrication with a specialist and sequence the installation so the worktops arrive ready to drop in. You don’t need to manage that separately.
What if a unit or door is faulty after installation?
Wren’s product warranty runs through Wren directly. Things like defective carcasses, warping doors, or damaged panels are their responsibility to replace. Our 12-month workmanship guarantee covers anything that’s a result of how we fitted it. The guarantee covers the following: a unit that’s not level, a hinge that works loose, a worktop join that opens up. If it’s our fault, we come back and fix it without any charge.
Do you need parking, or can you work in restricted zones?
We manage our own logistics. In controlled parking zones we might ask you for a permit in advance if possible. In central London we factor parking costs and ULEZ/congestion charge into the quote. If your building has loading restrictions, a tight vehicle access, or specific delivery windows, let us know and we’ll plan around it. This is something we deal with every week in London – so we will definitely find a solution for your installation – we always do.
How do you fit a Wren integrated dishwasher door panel?
We use a special door fixing kit to attach Wren integrated dishwasher door panels to the appliance door. It’s critical for the panel to align perfectly with the cabinet doors either side of it and the gap should be consistent. Especially when we are doing this for handleless ranges where there’s no handle to draw the eye away from any misalignment. Urban Kitchens fit and adjust all integrated dishwasher panels as part of the appliance installation. After the installation we check them under natural light before final sign-off by customer.
Do you install Wren drawer units and internal drawer systems?
We work all the time with Wren’s CleverHome internal drawer and install following mechanisms: base drawer units, deep pan drawers, CleverHome internal drawer inserts and this all of that is a part of a standard installation. If you want drawers to operate swiftly, you need to make sure the carcass to be perfectly level and square, otherwise drawer runners won’t be installed properly. Even a small error causes binding or uneven gaps at the front. We check every drawer for smooth operation and consistent reveal before we consider the job finished.
My Wren kitchen has been sitting in boxes for a while — is that a problem?
In most cases it’s not. Flat-pack kitchens store well in dry conditions. When we arrive, we’ll open all the boxes and will check everything before we start and note any damage or missing pieces upfront. If anything needs to be reordered from Wren, it’s better to know before installation day than halfway through.
Can you do a dry fit before the final Wren installation?
We can definitely do this and recently it became a quite popular service we offer. A dry fit means placing units in position without permanently fixing these. The benefit of doing that is that you can check the layout, confirm heights, and make any final decisions before everything is secured. In reality, we can see customers request this all the time. Especially for kitchens with islands or unusual layouts. We’ve been offering this for a white and we’re happy to accommodate it if requested. It adds time to the job, so it’s worth flagging at the survey stage so we can factor it into the schedule.
Do you install Wren integrated fridge freezers?
Yes, we do install them. Integrated fridge freezers more complicated to fit than standard fridges. And the main factor is the two-door panel arrangement and the hinge alignment between them. When we install them our fitters need to make sure that they sit level with each other and consistent with the surrounding cabinet doors. We fit and adjust both panels and test the door seals before final sign-off.
Do you install Wren oven housing units?
Absolutely. Oven housing units are tall units that need to be both perfectly plumb and correctly positioned relative to the electrical supply point behind them. The oven then slots in at the right height with a trim frame fitted around it. We install the housing, position and connect the oven, and fit any microwave or warming drawer above or below as part of the same visit.

Wren’s most popular modern finish for a long time. The finger-pull channel requires precise door alignment. Because badly set hinges are the most common complaint we’re called in to fix on handleless kitchens. Should be done properly from the beginning. In this case will be zero problem in the future.
Infinity Plus
Wren’s rigid-carcass premium line. It’s heavier than standard units, so it affects the wall-fixing requirements — especially on dot-and-dab plasterboard common in London flats. We know exactly how to deal with this.
Gloss Finishes

Traditional framed-door style. One of the most popular kitchen ranges at Wren. Frame reveal consistency — equal gaps on all sides of every door. This is exactly what separates a professional installation from an amateur one on shaker kitchens.
CleverHome Storage
Wren’s integrated pull-out and drawer systems require carcass installation to be exactly right before the inserts go in. We always check the level of the carcasses and make sure they are ideally installed before proceeding with the next step. A carcass that’s even slightly out of square will cause binding later.
In-Frame & Heritage
Higher-end ranges where the door sits within a visible frame. We’ve been working with these ranges and installing them for many years. Frame flatness and squareness are critical — this type of installation cannot be rushed and we schedule accordingly.
What Does Wren Kitchen Installation Cost in London?
The most common question we get asked, and the one with the most honest answer: it depends. But here’s what actually drives the price.
- Size and layout: A single-run kitchen is simpler than an L-shape or U-shape with an island. More units, more corners, more complexity. Obviously, the price will be higher in this scenario.
- First-fix requirements: If the space is already prepared — pipes in the right place, electrics in order, walls flat and solid — it means our installation will be faster. If we need to move a drain, reroute a circuit, or fix walls first – we can take care about this and offer you a full turnkey solution. But you need to understand that it adds time and cost.
- Appliance scope: Fitting a built-in oven and hob requires electrical work. A gas hob requires a Gas Safe engineer. A dishwasher needs plumbing. Each adds to the overall scope. We can provide you will all these services.
- Worktop material: Wren laminate worktops are cut and fitted on site. Stone or quartz requires a separate templating visit and fabrication lead time, which we coordinate. If you are not happy with Wren Quartz worktops – we have our own cost-effective stone worktop suppliers and can provide you with a separate quote for worktop including installation.
- Old kitchen removal: If you need the existing kitchen stripped out and disposed of we can take care about this. That’s additional work we can include in the quote. We will not only take care about removal of kitchen but also will dispose all the rubbish.
