Why local matters

Your kitchen fitters are just down the road

Quick to get to you

Ealing, Hammersmith, Fulham and Richmond are a short drive from Chiswick, so a survey or a return visit fits into the week instead of waiting for a free day.

Come and see us

Bring your plans to The LightBox, 111 Power Road, Chiswick, W4 5PY and talk them through in person. Message us first so the right person is in.

We know the houses

Most West London homes fall into a handful of types, each with its own quirks. We plan for them before fitting day, not on it. More on that below.

What’s included

One team for the whole kitchen

Most kitchen retailers only fit the cabinets. That leaves you finding an electrician, a plumber, a gas engineer and a tiler, then getting them to turn up in the right order. We bring all of them, and run the job from the first day to the last.

You choose

  • The kitchen itself, from any retailer
  • Your worktop material
  • Appliances
  • Tiles and flooring
  • A start date that suits you

Already ordered your kitchen? Send us the order or plan and we’ll price the fitting from that. Need help choosing a worktop? See our worktop guide.

Local know-how

West London homes, and how we fit kitchens in them

Victorian and Edwardian terraces

Chiswick, Ealing, Acton, Hammersmith, Shepherd’s Bush

Walls are rarely straight or square, and side-return extensions often join an old wall to a new one. We scribe end panels and fillers to the real walls instead of leaving gaps for silicone to hide.

Mansion blocks and period conversions

Kensington, Earl’s Court, Fulham, Notting Hill

Small lifts, shared stairs and managing agents with rules about working hours. We send our insurance and a method statement before we start, protect the common parts, and carry long worktops up the stairs when the lift won’t take them.

1930s semis

Hanwell, Greenford, Hounslow, Isleworth, Ruislip

Bigger rooms and plenty of knock-through kitchen-diners. Older wiring often needs new circuits for an induction hob and modern appliances, and our electricians add them before the units go in.

Riverside and new-build flats

Brentford, Fulham Reach, Kew Bridge, Chelsea Harbour

Concierge sign-in, booked lift slots and often no gas supply. We plan for induction from the start and check the building’s rules on noise and working hours with you first.

Conservation areas. Bedford Park, Strand on the Green, Kew Green and much of Kensington are conservation areas. A new kitchen inside the house rarely needs planning permission there, but if your home is listed, many internal changes need listed building consent. Check with the council before the old kitchen comes out.

Cost and timing

What it costs and how long it takes

£2,000–£6,000Most full installations. That’s the fitting work; the kitchen, worktops and appliances are separate.
3–7 daysOn site, for most kitchens.
2–6 weeksThe usual wait for a start date.

Where your kitchen lands in that range depends on its size, how much electrical and plumbing work there is, the worktop material, and whether walls need making good first. Our minimum project is £1,000, whatever the job. You get a fixed written price before anything starts. For a fuller breakdown, see our kitchen installation prices guide.

FAQ

Questions West London customers ask

Do you cover all of West London?

Yes. We’re based in Chiswick and fit kitchens across Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow, Ealing, Kensington & Chelsea, Richmond upon Thames and Hillingdon, plus nearby parts of Surrey.

Can I visit you to talk through my kitchen?

Yes. We’re at The LightBox, 111 Power Road, Chiswick, W4 5PY. Send us a message first so we can make sure the right person is in.

My street is in a controlled parking zone. Is that a problem?

No. Most of inner West London is. We agree the parking with you before the start date, usually visitor permits or a short bay suspension, so the van isn’t a worry on the day.

I live in a mansion block. What will the managing agent need?

Usually a copy of our public liability insurance, a short method statement and the dates and hours we’ll be working. We send those over before we start, and protect the lift, stairs and hallways while we work.

Do you fit kitchens bought from Howdens, Wren, IKEA or Magnet?

Yes, and from most other suppliers too. Send us the order or the plan and we’ll price the fitting from that.

My flat has no gas. Can you still fit the hob and oven?

Yes. A lot of riverside and new-build flats are electric only. Our electricians check the supply and add a dedicated circuit for an induction hob if there isn’t one already.

Is there a minimum job size?

Yes. Our minimum project is £1,000 for any type of work, from a full kitchen installation to a worktop replacement. We don’t take on jobs quoted below that.

How long will I be without a kitchen?

Most kitchens take 3 to 7 days on site. Your quote will say how long yours should take and which days you’ll be without water or power in the kitchen.

Do I need planning permission in a conservation area?

A new kitchen inside the house rarely needs planning permission, even in a conservation area. Listed buildings are different: many internal changes need listed building consent, so check with your council before the old kitchen comes out.

What guarantee do you give?

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months. If something we fitted goes wrong in that time, like a unit dropping out of level, a hinge working loose or a worktop joint opening up, we come back and fix it at no charge.

Planning a kitchen in West London?

Send us your plan and a few photos on WhatsApp and we’ll come back with a price. Prefer to write it down? Fill in our quote form with your project details and we’ll get back to you with a quote. Our minimum project is £1,000.
