Worktop Installation London
A well-fitted worktop ties the whole kitchen together. Urban Kitchens installs all worktop materials including laminate, solid wood, quartz, granite, Corian, and compact laminate, with precise cuts and seamless joins across London kitchens.

Worth Knowing
Not every kitchen needs a full renovation. If your cabinets are still in good shape but the worktop’s had it — stained, chipped, or just dated — we can definitely help you with replacement. Worktop replacement is one of our standalone services, which means you don’t need to book a full kitchen installation to get it sorted. We template and measure on site, then fit one of the following materials depending what you prefer: laminate, solid wood, quartz, granite, Corian, or compact laminate worktops, with clean cuts, sink and hob cut-outs, and properly sealed joins. We cover worktop installation and replacement right across London — North London (Camden, Islington, Barnet), South London (Lambeth, Wandsworth, Southwark), East London (Hackney, Tower Hamlets) and West London (Kensington, Chelsea, Hammersmith, Ealing, Brent) — so wherever you are, we can help.
What Worktop Installation Includes

- Worktop cutting and profiling
- Sink and hob cut-outs
- Joint sealing with colour-matched strip or resin
- Upstand and splashback panel fitting

Our Approach
We template worktops on site before cutting to ensure a perfect fit, accounting for any out-of-square walls. Cut edges are finished and sealed to prevent moisture ingress, and all joins are sealed with the appropriate compound for the material.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you install stone worktops?
We install laminate, solid wood, and engineered stone. For natural granite and quartz, we work alongside specialist stone fabricators to ensure correct templating and lifting.
How do you handle corner joints?
We use mitre joints sealed with colour-matched resin for a neat finish, or proprietary joining strips for laminate worktops depending on the material and the client preference.
Do you cut the hob and sink apertures?
Yes. Hob and sink cut-outs are included in the worktop installation. We use templates supplied with the appliances or sink for precise cutting.
How long after worktop installation before I can use the kitchen?
Silicone sealant around sinks needs 24 hours to cure before contact with water. Resin joints on stone worktops are ready within a few hours.
